Former hedge fund manager Jim Pulaski bought a unit at Apogee in South Beach after selling his waterfront North Bay Road mansion.

The closing marks the first at Apogee in nearly two years, according to the co-listing brokerage. A number of sales are pending in the high-end building.

Property records show G Sofi Investments LLC, led by the Grindler family, sold the four-bedroom, 4,154-square-foot at 800 South Pointe Drive for $12.2 million.

Pulaski, who was previously a commodity trading portfolio manager at Tudor Investment Corp., paid a total of $14 million for unit 2004, according to the brokers involved in the sale. That price likely includes furniture and other fees.

The seller is led by Laurent, Jean Michel and Christine Grindler, according to state records. The Grindler family is a commercial real estate developer in France, according to published reports and Laurent’s LinkedIn profile.

The unit features a movie room, en suite bedrooms, a home automation system, storage and an air conditioned two-car garage, according to the listing. It was designed by French architect and interior designer Michel Gamard.

Each home offers custom Italian millwork from Molteni, Polaris White marble countertops and backsplashes, and bathrooms with extra-deep Kaldewei steel-enamel soaking tubs.

“It doesn’t often happen that you have the opportunity to work on such a transformative project that will change the heart and soul of what is an already great city,” Schrager tells AD PRO. “The Tampa EDITION is creating a new cultural focal point for the city and is helping to make Tampa the gateway city in

Peter Thiel buys $18M Miami estate once featured in MTV’s ‘The Real World’

Billionaire entrepreneur and venture capitalist, Peter Thiel, nabbed a Miami estate featured on MTV’s ‘The Real World’ for a hefty $18 million.

The 10,041-square-foot compound, which consists of two properties on E Rivo Alto Drive within Miami’s Venetian Islands, is now home to the 53-year-old PayPal co-founder, the latest to leave Silicon Valley, according to Business Insider.

The estate was previously owned by former Ford CEO Jacques Nasser before it hit the market over the summer, the outlet reported. However, after sitting on the market to the tune of $19.9 million, Nasser dumped the property in September to Atlantic View Holdings LLC, according to property records obtained by FOX Business.

Inquiries to Thiel’s office were not returned.

The property was built in 1995 and has nine bedrooms and a dozen bathrooms, according to a property listing. However, one of the homes on the sprawling two-lot property was also used as the former set of the MTV reality show, “The Real World” in the late 1990s.

The four-bedroom, three-bath home had housed seven cast members of “The Real World: Miami”
